The tease of warm weather this weekend has me thinking forward to Spring! I can’t wait to be out shooting in the beautiful sunlight again soon. Last spring I had a great time taking the Miller’s family portraits at Kirby’s Mill in Medford. It’s such a cute little spot that is packed full of great picture locations. I always love getting together with the Millers too! Their girls are so incredibly sweet. Their older daughter melted my heart when she took my hand to walk over to the next spot. It was such a great session full of so much family love!
Julianna and Thomas’ engagement session was the most unique one I’ve done so far and it was so awesome! Julianna reached out to me about having the session at the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden and I was so excited to shoot someplace new. I’ve never been to the Shofuso Japanese House before and it was so interesting to visit there.

I had so much fun doing the Watermelon Mini Sessions. All of the kids enjoyed their watermelon treat and their parents and I had quite a few laughs watching them. I've been thinking about doing these sessions for a few uears and I'm so glad I did them finally. The set came out just like I pictured it and the kids had a blast. I can't wait to do it again this weekend. There are still some session times open if you'd like to join us! www.abbeybradshawphotography.com/watermelon-minis
Last week the Mama-togs all got together to exchange pictures of each other with their children. As photographers we always end up behind the camera and rarely get pictures with our families so this is a great chance to focus on the moms! We met up at Boundary Creek and let the kids play while we all took time in front of the camera. I'm so happy to share my favorites of the night with you.
It's not often that the groom does most of the planning, but Danny took the reins on his wedding. I knew right off the bat they were going to be such a sweet couple to work with and I was right! I met them on their wedding day as Danny was running around making final preparations and Emma was inside surrounded by her closest friends getting ready. As soon as I stepped out of the car I knew that we were blessed with such an awesome location.
They held their wedding at Emma's family bee farm and incorporated the bee theme into the decor. The farm was the perfect backdrop for the wedding and there was honey and bee themed touches all over. I absolutely love details and DIY weddings so it was right up my alley! Top that off with an amazing couple and you have a perfect wedding day!
As the snow is coming down I can't help but dream of last week when the weather gave us a beautiful 50 degree afternoon! Andrea wanted to try to do her maternity session outdoors if the weather would cooperate and we were able to do it just three days later! I met her and her family at Smithville Mansion in Easthampton for her maternity session. We had fun taking family portraits and then ending with portraits of the mama to be by herself in a gorgeous lace gown. I'm now offering gowns like the one she is wearing for all of my maternity sessions!
First off was the family portraits with big sister to be Ava. There is so much personality packed into such a little girl! She had me cracking up with her dancing, singing and playfulness.

I had the pleasure of seeing Benjamin again for his newborn session. We did a studio session this time with the whole family! Benjamin was more interested in what we were doing than sleeping so in most of his pictures he is peeking at me with one eye. He still did wonderful and we got so many portraits. Mom loves penquins so we included that in his session too.
Nicolette and Andrew had the most amazing wedding day. As I drove down the winding driveway to their venue, The Welkinweir I knew it was going to be a great day. Nicolette and Andrew were just a mere floor away from each other as they prepped for their wedding day. Rain threatened to move their ceremony inside but luck was on our side and everything went according to plan! Nicolette looked stunning in her vintage dress and she had the biggest smile on her face as she walked down the aisle to Andrew.
The ceremony was held with a beautiful view of the countryside and lake and the guests were even involved in the ceremony as they were asked to each hold Nicolette and Andrew's rings for a moment. After the ceremony everyone headed back up to the main house to eat and dance the night away! The evening concluded with a sparkler exit with the main house as the backdrop. It was a great ending to a perfect day!

This spring a group of momma photographers got together to swap pictures of one another and let the kids play. We met at the Burlington riverside and had some fun in the setting sun. It was a bit overcast that day but we still had a good time!
Fresh 48 sessions are one of my favorite sessions. There is nothing like snuggling a brand new baby and capturing the love of the new family. My session last week with the Washart family was wonderful. We focused on baby Benjamin and incorporated mom's love of penguins.
